Amrap Chart Wrap: Middle Kids and Tash Sultana Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Middle Kids and Tash Sultanatake the top spots.

Fresh from winning FBi’s Northern Lights competition, Middle Kids have held onto #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, also taking #6 in the Regional stakes withYour Love. Listen here to the band’s utter disbelief as they received the news from FBi’s music director Stephen Goodhew. The trio are no strangers to their hometown station, having also appeared on The Bridge with Lachlan Wyllie earlier this year.

Tash Sultana enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #1 with Jungle. Jordan Rakei having picked up Feature Album and Album of the Week at a range of stations including FBi Radio, PBS FM and Triple R in Melbourne. The Melbourne music maker recently dropped into Triple R Breakfasters to perform live-to-air. He also dropped into Sydney’s FBi Radio, chatting with Darren Lesaguis about the title of his new record and working with members of Hiatus Kaiyote for the album.

Dianna Corcoran has risen to #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Hold on Lover having racked up airplay across the country at stations including Radio Mama in WA, 4NAG, Cairns FM, Coast FM and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Inner FM, 94.7 The Pulse, Voice FM, 3WBC, UGFM, 3NRG and Joy 94.9 in VIC, Vox FM, Nambucca Valley Radio, 2MIA, 2AIR FM and Highland FM in NSW, as well as WOW FM, 5YYY, 5 Triple Z, Hills Radio, Radio Alex and Coast FM in SA.

Alex Lahey takes #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Ivy League, having picked up spots in Triple R Melbourne’s Soundscape, 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20, 2SER Sydney’s SERvin’ Up and Edge Radio Hobart’s new music lists, as well as Feature Album on 2RRR. The Do Yo Thangs debut at #8 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Indecisive having picked up spots in Triple R Melbourne’s Soundscape, 2SER Sydney’s SERvin’ Up! and Edge Radio Hobart’s New Music List.

Archie Roach is still going strong in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #8 in his fifth charting week with It’s not Too Late.
