BAKEHOUSE STUDIOS EXTENDS WITH MPAVILION

Bakehouse Studios, one of Melbourne’s largest rehearsal and recording studios, will expand its reach for the next four months with MPavilion.

It has partnered with MPavilion in Queen Victoria Gardens, which is open to the public from this month to February 4 with innovative and experimental activity.

The amphitheatre-style structure was designed by influential architects Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of international firm OMA.

The venue will host emerging and established musical acts in Bakehouse’s little black book.

MPavilion will periodically transform into an extension of Bakehouse’s studios, bringing a series of public rehearsals and secret shows.

Visitors to MPavilion will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of songs, the pre-production process for a recording or a full-blown dress rehearsal.

Also coming is a special Bakehouse-curated MTalks event during Melbourne Music Week.
