CAITLIN WELSH NEW MANAGING EDITOR FOR TMN

Caitlin Welsh has begun as Managing Editor for The Music Network. A music and pop culture journalist who was a staff writer for The Brag, her byline has appeared as a freelancer in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, Junkee Media, Mess+Noise,Cosmopolitan, and street press nationally.

Her new role is actually a return to TMN, as she was a regular contributor and in its print days. It also marks a return to full-time music journalism after 3 ½ years as a content editor at consumer not-for-profit CHOICE, where she worked on the organisation’s digital transformation and several new online initiatives, as well as sneaking hip hop puns into headlines about food labelling legislation.

TMN has been around for over two decades, reporting on and supporting an industry that changes incredibly quickly – the last time I worked here, only a couple of years ago, Spotify was just about to launch in Australia, and we still put out a print magazine!” Welsh says.

“I’m beyond stoked to have the opportunity to shape its future and keep it going strong as a crucial resource for the incredibly hard-working, devoted people who make up this industry – and I’m keen to hear what our readers and subscribers really want out of TMN right now.”
