MusExpo biz awards honour Chugg
Michael Chugg has been awarded best festival promoter at the inaugural International Music Industry Awards, held at Musexpo 2014. Chugg was nominated alongside Coachella founder Paul Tollett, Andy Copping of the UK’s Download Festival and Germany’s FKP Skorpio Founder and President Folkert Koopmans.
Australian names also honoured with nominations in other categories included Sheppard, who were named in the new emerging international artist list; David Vodicka of Media Arts Lawyers who was included in the Best Music Lawyer category, while Triple J was named in the best radio station category, losing to Germany’s FLUX FM.
Other winners included Universal Music Group Chairman & CEO Lucian Grainge (best music industry executive), Glassnote president Daniel Glass (best A&R executive), Tim Youngson & Scott MacLachlan of New Zealand’s Saiko Management (best talent managers), Steve Strange of X-Ray Touring UK (best booking agent), Alexandra Patsavas of Chop Shop Music Supervision (best music supervisor), Hartwig Masuch (CEO, BMG Chrysalis (best music publisher), Benji Rogers, CEO, Pledge Music (best digital executive) and Nike/Red Bull (best global brand music integration).
