Mona Foma offers free tickets but only if you’re Amish

Mona Foma offers free tickets but only if you’re Amish

In an inspired piece of advertising, eclectic Tassie music and arts festival Mona Foma has extended an invitation of free tickets to help the Amish community celebrate Rumspringa.

A billboard was erected in the US town of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the place of the world’s largest Amish settlement, encouraging the young people to come and experience the likes of Courtney Barnett, Underworld, Neneh Cherry and more next January.

“Every year we invite someone to Mona Foma who we think will really appreciate the lineup, so this year we’re inviting the Amish. Specifically those on Rumspringa—which is like a year-long spring break for young Amish people where they try to cram in as many life experiences as possible. This year’s festival in Launceston will help do that,” said festival director Brian Ritchie.

The billboard directed readers to the official Moma Foma website, a move that has proved a great success according to Ritchie.

“We’ve had a lot of traffic to the Amish Only section of our website, which is a good sign.”

If by some miracle you are Amish and reading this, claim your free tickets here. For the rest of us, tickets to Mona Foma are available now via the official website.
