Mitsubishi Motors and Kicktone on hunt for Oz song to back ad campaign
Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Kicktone, the direct-to-fan platform based in Adelaide, have paired up on a talent search for a song which will provide the soundbed for its local advertising campaigns.
Under the banner Accelerate, Australian artists will also be given the chance to win up to $10,000 and professional studio recording time.
Artists are asked to create and upload a track (or use an existing piece of their own music) via acceleratemusic.com.au, and from there, the public will listen and vote on the songs they love. Each track will be personally listened to, with the winner being chosen by a panel of judges. Winners will be announced on October 20.
Head of Marketing Communications for Mitsubishi Motors Australia, Darrell Jacobs says, “Mitsubishi Motors Australia is always on the lookout for new music to use in their marketing communications and has created Accelerate to help discover and support the best independent talent in our own backyard.”
An Australian music initiative, Accelerate is a competition designed for any artist with the creativity to interpret Mitsubishi Motors Australia’s ‘Love That Car’ brief. Any band/artist in any genre is asked to apply. Full details on eligibility and entry criteria can be found here.
Submissions open on September 15 and close on October 12, 2014.
