Australians both onstage and offstage continue to feature in global lists.

In the latest, three names feature in the nominations for the 30th annual Pollstar Awards.

It honours the top achievers in the live entertainment industry and held in mid- February in Los Angeles at the tail end of the magazine’s three-day conference.

Michael Chugg of Sydney-based Chugg Entertainment is up for International Promoter of the Year.

He’s up against Simon Moran (SJM Concerts), Barrie Marshall (Marshal Arts Ltd), Jim King (AEG Presents),  Denis Desmond (MCD Productions) and Folkert Koopmans (FKP Scorpio).

Keith Urban’s Graffiti U World Tour is nominated for Best Country Tour, vying against worldwide treks by Chris Stapleton, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Shania Twain.

The Urban tour is also listed in the Best Support/Special Guest category for Kelsea Ballerini.

Also on that list are Kacey Musgraves for the Harry Styles tour, Kane Brown (for Chris Young), The Struts (Foo Fighters), Migos (Drake) and Lauv (Ed Sheeran).

Air Supply who formed in Sydney in the 1970s and relocated to America after frisbeeing a stack of ballads into the charts there, are highlighted in Best Soft Ticket Act.

The duo, made up of Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are touring here in late April with an orchestra.

They’re up against 10,000 Maniacs, America, Donny & Marie, Earth Wind & Fire and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Major Tour of the Year nominees are Beyonce & Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and U2.

Up for Best New Headliner are Billie Eilish, Greta Van Fleet, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Post Malone and Travis Scott.

Aside from the traditional categories, the Pollstar awards also list Most Terrifying Agent, Most Frequently Name-Dropped and Most Unavailable.
