Mashd N Kutcher amass over 1m YouTube hits in five days

Mashd N Kutcher, a Brisbane duo with multi-instrumentalist backgrounds, has amassed over 1 million views on YouTube for their latest mashup experiment.

Published on Friday (April 9), the clip saw the duo walk into local businesses, board a public bus, and stop a runner on the street in Brisbane to ask them to contribute to their track using a microphone and a portable keyboard.

The end product received 1,071,674 hits on YouTube at time of print. The duo’s Facebook post of the clip has almost 4 million views, over 99,000 likes and over 49,000 shares.

Now part of the Melbourne Bounce scene, Mashd N Kutcher’s background lies outside of EDM and production. One is a classical pianist, the other is a metal drummer. The duo's latest official release was Do It Now, which features a sample from Parlez Vous Francais by Art vs Science. The track was released through Warner Music.

Mashd N Kutcher peformed over 200 shows in 18 months in Australia, New Zealand and Asia and are currently on an 18-date national tour.
