Live Nation introduces Festival Passport program to Australia, with Falls, Download, Sydney City Limits
Global promoter and music events owner Live Nation is expanding its Festival Passport program to Australia.
It will cover the Live Nation associated festivals Falls, Download and Sydney City Limits.
It is part of a global roll-out by Live Nation to introduce the program to 100 festivals around the world, and to also introduce a new US$5000 VIP tier Passport (limited to 100 units).
The Passport scheme was introduced last year, at $799 and available in 90 festivals All 1000 passports sold out in 24 hours, according to Live Nation.
“Music festivals are all about the experience and we created Festival Passport as an innovative way to amplify that for music fans across all of our 100+ festivals worldwide,” says Live Nation CMO Lisa Licht.
“Festival Passport is Live Nation’s tribute to our incredible festival community, and we’re excited to continue to build on the program this year by increasing the number of Festival Passports available and adding a brand new VIP tier.
“Those who purchased the Festival Passport last year have become part of the Live Nation family.

The Passports, valid for a year, went on sale overnight here.
Among the 100 festivals covered are Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, Austin City Limits and Electric Daisy Carnival in the US; a Creamfields event in China; Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland; Italy’s Firenze Rocks Edinburgh Summer Sessions in the UK; Belgium’s Rock Werchter; and all three Lollapalooza events in Berlin, Paris and Chicago.
Live Nation says it will utilise Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform to keep the passports off the secondary market.
Transportation, airfare, hotel accommodation and parking are not included, nor is onsite camping, unless noted.
