Lior signs publishing deal with ORiGiN, set to drop collaboration-filled album
Australian singer-songwriter Lior has signed a deal with Sydney-based ORiGiN Music Publishing for a worldwide representation of his catalogue.
The agreement was confirmed as Lior firms plans to drop new album Between You And Me and follow up with international dates.
Between You and Me is set for release in Australia and New Zealand on September 7.
The plan is for it to be issued globally through a number of local independent labels.
It is his first solo project since the 2014 album Scattered Reflections.
In the interim Lior has collaborated on a number of diverse musical projects including the award-winning orchestral song cycle work Compassion with composer Nigel Westlake.
Other team-ups include the Hush Foundation work A Piece Of Quiet with composer Elana Kats Chernin and vocal group The Idea Of North.
He has also been touring and performing with composer-pianist Paul Grabowsky as well as co-composing the music for the theatrical work The Wider Earth, which has its London season starting in early October.
The first single off the upcoming album, Real Love, was directed by Bangara Dance Theatre creative director Stephen Page.
The Between You And Me album also includes collaborations with composer/producer Lachlan Carrick and a duet song Where Will I Be with emerging singer-songwriter Domini Forster.
Lior’s debut album Autumn Flow was certified platinum.
The singer will play a Sydney gig with Grabowsky at the end of September before heading off on a European tour in October.
