Leer Sign With Sweat It Out Ahead of Debut Single Release

Leer, the Sydney-based DJ and producer duo made up of Lachlan Henderson and Tom Eady, have signed with indie record label Sweat It Out.

The signing announcement coincides with the release of Leer’s debut single ‘Friends feat. Fio’.

The label said the new kids on the block have entered the scene with a bang, and the single is a powerful ode to fleeting yet addictive moments with someone.

Leer said they’re pumped to be given the opportunity to be releasing music with Sweat It Out.

“We’ve admired Sweat and the cultural imprint they’ve had on Australian dance music over the years and are truly grateful to join the family,” they said in a statement to TMN.

The new single is driven by Fio’s raw vocals, which Leer explained help bring the story to life.

“Things are lost in translation and walls are up where they don’t belong. ‘Friends’ is a cathartic step into the electronic that we needed and Fio brought it to life with a powerful top line,” they said.

Sweat It Out added that after supporting Crooked Colours with Pricie, Annie Bass and Mazy for Great Southern Nights, Leer have now officially landed.

“Together they are building a soundscape that best represents their refinement in production and where they want to be moving forward… The hype is sure to continue to grow around Leer,” the label said.

A five-track EP from Leer will also be released via Sweat It Out in August this year.

Leer has also signed a management deal with Frnds Mgmt.
