Kwame inks exclusive global publishing deal with BMG

BMG has signed Ghanaian-Australian artist Kwame to an exclusive global publishing deal.

Kwame, who won triple j’s Unearthed Artist of the Year award in 2018, recently dropped his latest single ‘TOMMY’S IN TROUBLE’ featuring CLYPSO and Phil Fresh.

He’s gearing up to release a new EP titled Please, Get Home Safe on October 30.

His signing with BMG follows a new deal with Vita Music Group for global management.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the lovely team over at BMG. Heath is a man of his words and has proven that time after time,” Kwame said.

“I admire how upfront, honest and straight to the point the team are. It’s quite rare to come across a team of people like this within the music industry. I’m truly blessed to continue aligning myself with the right people, they get it.”

Kwame has released two EPs to date, won multiple FBi Radio awards, and has showcased at SXSW.

“Kwame is a genuine creative force,” BMG managing director Heath Johns said.

“He is talented, bold and ambitious and on a personal level he is a guy who continually inspires me when we talk all things music.

“On behalf of BMG – Amy, Jodie and I are so excited to welcome him into our family of songwriters and we are excited to play a key role in helping him achieve big things on a global scale.”

BMG’s publishing roster of Australian talent includes Alison Wonderland, What So Not, AC/DC, Peking Duk, Illy, Hockey Dad, Golden Features, Meg Mac, Winston Surfshirt, Crowded House, Client Liaison, JET, SAFIA, Didirri, Montaigne, Wolfmother, Running Touch and more.
