Kesha celebrates first anniversary of Rainbow with Apple Music doco

August 10 marks the first anniversary of the release of Kesha’s two-time Grammy nominated Rainbow album.

She marks the event by releasing a behind-the-scenes documentary on Apple Music.

Directed by Kesha along with her brother Lagan Sebert and Kevin Hayden, it was produced by Magic Seed Productions.

The Rainbow – The Film covers the creation of the album and echoes her most recent LP’s messages of self-love, perseverance and strength.

“Making Rainbow the album was such a therapeutic process and given the opportunity to turn into a third-dimensional piece of art has helped me find even deeper healing and catharsis,” said Kesha.

“Third-dimensional piece of art has helped me find even deeper healing and catharsis. I hope this film will inspire you to feel like you’re going to hurt you. In this case, I’m in the hope of making you feel good.”

Rainbow – The Film mixes truth documentary shares the singer’s battle with inner demons and her fight back to redemption.

It includes previously unseen footage chronicling Kesha’s joy playing rock clubs and dive bars, writing and recording Rainbow and preparing for her daunting yet triumphant performance at this year’s Grammys.
