Just A Gent Joins Angry Mob

Just A Gent strikes a global administration deal with Angry Mob Music Group, the L.A.-based independent music publisher.

With the electronic music producer and artist (real name Jacob Grant) on board, Angry Mob takes a leap into the EDM universe, adding the Aussie to a stable that includes nearly 300 publishing clients worldwide, upwards of 6,000 songs and a roster of 60 creators.

“I’m stoked to join the Angry Mob roster,” he comments in a statement. “The team is forward-thinking and willing to go above and beyond to help take my career to the next level. I’m very excited for what this relationship will bring”.

His signing “is an exciting entrée into the EDM market as we look to expand and diversify our creative roster,” notes Sean Harrison, Angry Mob Music Co-Founder and Creative Director.

Earlier this year, Just A Gent dropped his genre-crossing debut full length album, Planet Oasis, a collection that was recorded over a five-year span and counts collaborations with Samsaruh, Sammi Constantine, Lani Rose, SAYAH, Jacknife, Greta Stanley, SADBOii, and Arno Faraji.

His 2020 EP Autopilot has also accumulated more than 2 million streams, and his appearance on triple j’s Like a Version in 2019, where he performed Kid Cudi’s “Day N Nite,” is creeping towards 3 million views.

Since achieving lift-off in 2016, the Novocastrian’s cuts and remixes have notched 300 million combined streams, from “Limelight (NGHTMRE Remix),” to “Rolling Dice,” “The Change (Feat. DMA’S) [Remix],” “Iris in the Dark,” and more.

Established in 2009, Angry Mob’s roster includes Joe Pepe, Jake Scott, KiNG MALA, ROMES, Schmarx & Savvy, KAMI, Love-sadKiD, Pepper, LeyeT, Bus the Producer, Rune Westberg, Evan Coffman, and Verskotzi.

He’ll embark on a mini-tour of Australia later this month in support of Planet Oasis.
