Introducing the first annual TMN Tinnies, nominations now open

The Music Network is inviting you to the first annual TMN Tinnies, celebrating the crushing success of those behind the scenes of Australia’s recorded music industry.

In partnership withForbes Street Studios and social-first digital agency Jaden Social, the TMN Tinnies will bring together the brightest creatives in the business of recorded music.

“Who doesn’t want to see a tipsy artist manager deliver an unscripted and untelevised acceptance speech? We think it’s about time that happens. But really, it’s high time those who are in the trenches get an opportunity to take a bow for their contribution to Australian music,” said TMNpublisher and editor, Jake Challenor.

The TMN Tinnies – scheduled for Friday, February 2 at a secret (but central) location in Sydney – is an opportunity to crack open a beverage and shine a spotlight on another remarkable year in music.

There are eight award categories in year one; Manager of the year,Label A&R of the year, Publishing A&R of the year, Indie label of the year, Music start-up of the year, Producer of the year, Songwriter of the year and A&R Artist Development of the year. Nominations are open now.

There will also be an award to recognise the most significant contribution to Australian musicbycommercial radio.

TMN will reveal five finalists for each category next Monday, November 20, following nominations and consultation with industry movers, shakers and hitmakers.A master of ceremonies will also be announced prior to the awards onFebruary 2.

All music industry professionals and TMN subscribers are invited to nominate their peers from today at TMNTinnies.com.au. Nominations close 5pm AEDTthis Friday, November 17.
