New Head of Entertainment at ABC TV

Jon Casimir is the new Head of Entertainment at ABC TV, effective April 8. He is currently an executive producer with Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder The one-time music journalist (RAM, Encore, Sydney Morning Herald) moved into television to produce Enough Rope With Andrew Denton (2003-2008). He also executive-produced the successful Gruen series of shows – Transfer, Planet, Nation, Sweat – all made for ABC TV. Sophia Zachariou, Acting Head of Entertainment, is appointed Deputy Head of Entertainment, overseeing production of the entertainment and non-narrative comedy slate.


Billy Russell heads music at Pagesdigital

Former Channel [V] and The Riff presenter Billy Russell has joined online fashion and music site Pagesdigital. He takes the role Music Content Manager heading the music section and music brands.


Matt Bern expands role at Territory FM

New CEO for Melbourne Youth Music

Dorian Jones becomes CEO of Melbourne Youth Music on March 4. He was Cultural Venues Coordinator for Manningham City Council, supervising its arts and cultural programs. Acting CEO, Michelle Forbes moves to the newly created senior role of Manager of Artistic Planning.


Maz Hakim lands overseas gig

FM 104.7 Canberra presenter (and refugee advocate) Maz Hakim heads to Dubai in April to present the morning show on Virgin Radio.
