Hit Network tops two ARIA Charts with RnB Fridays

Southern Cross Austereo’sHit Network has topped two ARIA Charts with the debut of its RnB Fridays double album.

Entering both the ARIA Compilations Chart and ARIA Urban Album Chart at #1, RnB Fridays is also the first release to come out of the new partnership between Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Hit Network and Universal Music Australia (UMA).

Darren Aboud, joint Managing Director Universal Music Australia said in a statement: “The level of passion and depth of dedication the SCA audience is displaying for the concept is overwhelming. RnB Fridays is a perfect celebration of a great era in the RnB genre – and we’re proud to be working with our valued partner in SCA to amplify the concept. We can’t wait for the next edition!”

RnB Fridays launched acrossThe Hit Network’smetro markets and 42 stations regionally in July to feature the most best and most popular tracks to come out if thegenre. The first ever RnB Fridays double album compilation, featuring Destiny’s Child, Drake, Nelly, Notorious B.I.G., Salt N Pepa and Blackstreet, was released on October 30.

The Hit Network is the leading network in the under 40s age demographic.
