Harry Styles claims first Aussie airplay #1 with ‘Adore You’

Harry Styles has his first #1 single at Australian radio, with ‘Adore You’ reaching the peak of the TMN Hot 100 powered by Radio Monitor this week.

It’s been a slow burn for the single, which hits the summit 19 weeks after first entering the chart.

In the process, Styles end a seven-week run atop the chart by The Weekend’s ‘Blinding Lights’.

While the former One Directioner has claimed multiple Most Added titles, ‘Adore You’ is surprisingly his first #1 Hot 100 single.

Styles’ previous highest charting single ‘Sign Of The Times’ burned bright, but burned fast. After setting the record in 2017 for the highest debut in Hot 100 history, it failed to climb further.

Taylor Swift has since taken that record from Styles, with singles ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and ‘ME!’ each debuting at #2. No artist has ever debuted at #1 on the TMN Hot 100.

There are several new peaks on this week’s Hot 100, with ‘Didn’t I’ by One Republic (#9) and ‘Roses’ by SAINt JHN (#10) both cracking the Top 10 for the first time.

‘Roses’ was first released by the US artist three years ago, but has rocketed back into mainstream popularity care of an upbeat remix by Imanbek garnering massive airtime on TikTok.

Dua Lipa is seeking her second chart-topping single of the year, with ‘Physical’ creeping three frames upward this week to #7. She will perform for Nova’s Red Room Live Stream next month.

Tones And I’s quest for a third Hot 100 #1 has hit a snag, with ‘Bad Child’ falling to #14 after hitting a peak position of #9 last week.

Selena Gomez has the highest debut of the week, with ‘Boyfriend’ landing at #62.
