GYROstream Launches Invite-Only GYROgold Program (EXCLUSIVE)

GYROstream is going for gold.

The Australian digital distribution specialist adds premium artist program GYROgold, which offers a stack of extra services from strategic planning, playlist pitching, digital marketing, radio pitching and more, The Music Network can reveal.

It’s an invite-only offering, which has already been taken up by JK-47, Cloe Terare, Banoffee, Jem Cassar-Daley, Oshua, Jewel Owusu, Pink Matter and Emerson Leif.

Only those acts that the GYROstream team “believe have incredible potential” will get the nod, a statement explains.

Once signed-up, the artist can tailor their own package, lean on GYROstream’s extensive network and marketing know-how, and keep 100% of their copyright.

“We’re seeing so much talent come through our system, many who just need a little extra boost but might not have the skills or time to do the work themselves or the budget to hire someone,” explains Vivienne Mellish, GYROstream co-founder & director of marketing and artist promotions.

The new priority artist feature is “designed to work with each artist’s needs and meet them at their level without locking them into archaic label structures and long-term deals,” she continues, while participants “get access to our expert team and can continue to do things on their own terms as an independent artist.”

GYROgold will be publicly unveiled this week, and springs to life following the unveiling in May of GYROrecords.

Parent GYROstream’s suite of activities include the GYROadvance program, a prepayment solution designed to help DIY and independent musicians boost their career; along with GYROpr, GYROdigital and white label distribution service DistroDirect.

Founded in Brisbane in 2018, GYROstream now represents thousands of artists across Australia and New Zealand for artist services and global digital distribution, and delivers to upwards of 100 digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple, TikTok, Amazon and YouTube.

The business has offices in Sydney and Melbourne and last year unveiled Find My ISRC, a tool to assist DIY artists, managers and labels to keep track of their recordings as they travel the web.

GYROstream also took out TMN’s Tinnie for Music Distributor of the Year in 2021.
