Good Morning ink deal with Polyvinyl Records

Melbourne duo Good Morning have signed with US label Polyvinyl in the lead-up to the arrival of their next full-length project.

The new deal will see the band represented by Polyvinyl in the US and the rest of the world except Australia, where their music will be released through their own imprint, Good Morning Music Company Worldwide, via Virgin Music Australia. The band are currently managed by Our Golden Friend in Australia.

Coinciding with the signing announcement, Good Morning have shared two new tracks, ‘Mollyduker’ and ‘Keep It’, marking their first new music in two years.

The band – made up of Stefan Blair and Liam Parsons – have signed with Polyvinyl ahead of the release of their forthcoming album, expected to arrive sometime this year.

“I’ve been a fan of the band for years, but when I heard their newest collection of songs I was blown away. We are so excited for Polyvinyl to help share this music with the world,” Polyvinyl label director, Seth Hubbard, said of the signing.

Blair and Parsons added: “We’re excited to start working with Polyvinyl, a label we’ve admired for a while now. Here’s to a long and beautiful journey together.”

Polyvinyl’s roster currently includes Julia Jacklin, Alvvays, Hazel English, Jeff Rosenstock, Laura Jane Grace and Yumi Zouma, among others.
