Frontier Touring’s Michael Harrison lands top global role at AEG
Michael Harrison, long time Sydney-based executive at Frontier Touring, has been appointed senior vice president at AEG’s new AEG Global Touring division.
He will be based in Los Angeles.
Gary Gersh, president of AEG Presents Global Touring and Talent said, “I have known Michael for many years through our long-term friendship with Frontier Touring.
“He has been bringing artists to Australia for years from Europe and bringing them through Australia to Asia.
“His area of expertise brings a tremendous amount to the group.
“His relationships worldwide are imperative for us to grow the group at the level at which we plan to.”
Harrison was most recently tour director for Frontier Touring Company, Australia & New Zealand.
His most recent tours included Arctic Monkeys, Portugal. The Man, Flight of The Conchords, Royal Blood, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Midnight Oil, Lorde and The Killers.
Harrison began his career as a booking agent in 1992 at The Harbour Agency in Sydney.
He joined Frontier, a sister company which is part of Michael Gudinski’s empire, in January 2003.
Harrison’s appointment at AEG Global Touring comes as it announces a new slate of executives.
Among them are fellow live music veteran David Rappaport as chief operating officer, former StubHub senior executive Michelle Swing as director of artist development and AOL’s Victoria Torchia as head of digital marketing.
