Frontier Touring and AEG Live to bring the Rolling Stones to Australia in 2014
Frontier have announced that unbeatable icons The Rolling Stones will be heading to Australia in March next year.
So far only one date has been announced, March 22 for the opening of Adelaide Oval, but other Australian shows – as well as a New Zealand date – will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the show go on sale next Monday November 25, from 9am.
Now, some quotes to read in your head using the artists’ respective voices. Firstly from Mick: “It’s great to be invited to Adelaide to open the historic oval…we’re really looking forward to doing this gig, it will be the first time we’ve been to Adelaide in nearly 20 years, so see you there”, and now from Keith, who cannot be killed by conventional weapons: “Hi everyone down in Adelaide, it’s been a while since we were in your backyard… see you on March 22 when we’ll take over your new stadium and make it our own, look forward to it”.
Stones fans will be thrilled to learn that Mick Taylor will be joining the band in Australia for these dates. Taylor was a member of the Stones between 1969-1974, seen by many as the bands halcyon days.
