Forbes Selects Untitled Group’s Filippo Palermo and Michael Christidis For ‘30 Under 30’ Class

Untitled Group co-founders Filippo Palermo and Michael Christidis have cracked the Forbes “30 Under 30” list for North America.

The 29-year-old entrepreneurs are acknowledged for their part in creating the live events specialist, whose portfolio includes festivals Beyond The Valley, Wildlands, Ability Fest, Pitch Music and Arts and Grapevine Gathering, and which is coming off a record-breaking summer season.

Selected for Forbes’ “Media, Marketing & Advertising” class of 2023, Palermo and Christidis also run the talent agency Proxy, which promotes rising Australian artists and DJs and tours them through Asia Pacific.

“They founded Untitled Group in 2014, and have since diversified into other industries, from mobile ordering platform Mr. Yum to Ugly Vodka,” explains Forbes, “a liquor made from bruised apples that were destined for the landfill.”

Palermo and Christidis dip into a talented pool of young movers and shakers, which includes Stranger Things actor Sadie Sink, artists 24kGoldn and Anitta, and recently anointed NBA MVP Joel Embiid.

According to reps, Untitled Group sold over 250,000 festival tickets during the last season, bettering last summer’s haul of 200,000 tickets.

All told, the business organised 112 events nationwide during the last touring cycle.

Formed in Melbourne by Palermo, Christidis, Nicholas Greco and Christian Serraro, Untitled Group has grown into one of the largest independent promoters in Australia, with 65 full-time employees.

Further recognition came in late 2022 when Pollstar identified Untitled as the No. 2 Australian promoter (and No. 46 overall) in its Top Promoter List, and its directors earned nods for the Resilience Award in Smart 50’s 2022, and the Young Australian Entrepreneurs in 2021 and 2022.

The Forbes shoutout doesn’t account for two Dom Dolla sellouts of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl this December, tickets for which went on sale early Wednesday and sold out in a “matter of minutes,” according to Untitled, which is producing the shows.
