Etcetc signs Queensland pop R&B singer-songwriter Doolie
Eetcetc Music has signed Queensland pop, R&B and electronica singer-songwriter Doolie.
The first track for the label by the 20-year old (born Doolie Shadforth) is ‘2:20’, a song co-written with Melbourne producer GXNXVS (Lastlings, Banoffee, OKBADLANDS) and featuring Melbourne rapper Charlie Threads.
It’s her first new music since her 2017 single ‘KØLD’ which was playlisted on triple j and triple j Unearthed.
Last year she featured on releases from Paces (‘Don’t Run’) and POOLCLVB (‘Freefall’), and played festivals Splendour In The Grass, Falls and Big Pineapple.
Aden Mullens, etcetc general manager said, “Since being introduced to Doolie in 2017, we’ve jumped at opportunities to work with her.
“Since then she’s proven to be a great writer, a powerful performer, and we feel, an obvious talent who has a bright future in recordings.
“We are very proud to welcome Doolie to the etcetc family.”
Doolie explained, ‘2:20’ is about being on the same page as somebody who you like and who likes you back.
“The process of this song was so amazing; it was my first time being thrown into a session with someone I had never met before, and my first time having someone really cool like Charlie Threads feature on my track!”
