Eminem announces return for late summer
After weeks of speculation, TEG Dainty this morning announced that Eminem returns for four massive shows in late summer – including his first visit to Perth.
The Rapture 2019 tour takes in:
Brisbane – Wednesday, February 20 at QSAC
Sydney – Friday, February 22 at ANZ Stadium
Melbourne – Sunday, February 24 at the MCG
Perth – Wednesday, February 27 at Optus Stadium
The visit to the region also sees him journey to New Zealand where he plays Wellington for the first time, at Westpac Stadium on Saturday, 2 March.
Eminem’s last two tours, Rapture Tour 2014 and Lose Yourself in 2011 were sell-outs, with tickets disappearing in 30 minutes, according to promoter Paul Dainty.
Dainty said, “Eminem is a global superstar and his live shows are phenomenal, we’re proud to once again present his Australian tour.”
The 15-time Grammy-winning Detroit rapper’s surprise tenth studio album Kamikaze debuted at #1 in Australia and stayed at top spot for four weeks.
It was his 9th chart-topping album in this country.
The single Killshot scored the highest 24-hour YouTube debut for a hip-hop video (the third-highest music video debut overall) upon its release last month.
