Dean Lewis set to perform on Ellen tomorrow

Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis performs on the daytime talk and entertainment format Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow (January 23 US time). His hit single ‘Be Alright’ is climbing the US Top 40 and has generated 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Tomorrow’s episode also features Sarah Paulson and Caroline Quentin and Piers Taylor.

In the US Lewis continues to climb the high end of the Billboard Emerging Artists chart as ‘Be Alright’ also breaks into the Top 10 of the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart, debuts at #17 on Adult Contemporary and hits #25 on Pop Songs.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show appearance also sets him up for his 19-date North American tour next month.

It kicks off on February 13 at the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles and winds up on March 13 at Trees club in Dallas, Texas.

The trek takes him to cities as San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta and Nashville.

At home, he is creating waves with new track ‘7 Minutes’, which he describes as the song he’s proudest of.

“It’s one of those songs that snuck up on me, and it’s probably my favourite song that I’ve ever written,” he reveals.

“I was in England about two years ago when I had this argument with this girl I was seeing at the time.

“I jumped into an Uber and on the way home, this line came into my head, which was ‘Is it too late to turn around / I’m already halfway out of town’.”
