Creator of Daft Punk clips, Star Wars characters, to discuss body of work at ACMI

The acclaimed music video director behind clips like ‘I Feel It Coming’ for The Weeknd, ‘Get Lucky’ for Daft Punk and ‘California Roll’ for Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder and Pharrell Williams, is headed to Australia.

In Conversation with Warren Fu will see the video director discuss the intersection of art, music and design through his work with acts including The Strokes, Mark Ronson, Electric Light Orchestra and Haim, plus his work as art director at Lucasfilm, where he created prominent characters and designs for Star Wars.

It all takes place in Melbourne on May 30 at ACMI and is presented by COLLARTS and CLIPPED Music Video Festival.

Fu has also created commercials for ADIDAS and Reebok, and worked as a concept and visual effects artist for Star Trek, Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Terminator Salvation and A.I.

Warren Fu is also the headline speaker at CLIPPED in Sydney on June 3 at Vivid Ideas. The festival includes an exhibition, screenings, premieres, workshops and industry discussion panels.
