Sydney’s City Recital Hall is offering emerging and established artists an opportunity to play there in 2019.

In an effort to attract a wider demographic, the venue in Angel Place has launched Ears to the Ground.

It is a series of intimate, stripped-back weeknight gigs in its ground level performance space.

It is calling for expressions of interest from bands and artists to perform as part of the new series in 2019.

“Opportunities to perform and see live music, especially in central Sydney, has decreased significantly over the years,” says City Recital Hall CEO Elaine Chia.

“We want to provide a platform for both up-and-coming and career musicians to be seen and heard.

“Through Ears to the Ground, we hope to go a small way to filling the gap in Sydney’s live music scene.”
