Chart Wrap: Conrad Sewell & Grace make ARIA history

Hot 100

Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood featuring Kendrick Lamar remains at #1 for its third week in a row while Grace’s You Don’t Own Me featuring G-Eazy returns to #2 from #3. Avicii’s Waiting For Love makes its break into the Top 10 this week landing at #7 from #11, as does Conrad Sewell’s Start Again at #8 from #20, Little Mix’s Black Magic at #9 up from #12 and Major Lazer’s Powerful featuring Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley at #10 from #14.

Outside the Top 10, DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s You Know You Like It moves into the Top 20 at #22 up from #32, as does Jarryd James’ Give Me Something which hits #23 from #36. Tkay Maidza continues her climb up the Hot 100 landing at #41 from #64. Making most moved this week is Robin Schulz’s Headlights featuring Ilsey at #35 up from #58, a total of 23 positions.

Three debuts take place this week in the Top 50. At #24 is The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face, which enters a head of Tinie Tempah’s Not Letting Go featuring Jess Glynne at #36, and Blonde’s All Cried Out featuring Alex Newell at #37.

ARIA Singles

Conrad Sewell’s Start Again takes #1 this week on the ARIA Singles chart, moving up from #2. His top positionmakes for the second #1 from an Australian artist this year, the first being his sister Grace’s You Don’t OwnMefeaturing G-Eazy. This alsomakes them the first Australian born siblings to land a #1 single each on the ARIA Singles chart. Moving up to #3 from #21 is Rachel Platten’s Fight Song which marks a new peak for the track on its twelfth week in the chart. Meghan Trainor’s Like I’m Gonna Lose You featuring John Legend sees a Top 10 entry at #5 from #19, as does Major Lazer’s Powerful featuring Ellie Goulding and & Tarrus Riley at #7 from #15. Plenty of debuts make their way into the lower spectrum of the Top 50 this week. The first at #27 is The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face while Rita Ora’s Poison sees a debut at #34 followed by Robin Schulz’s Headlights featuring Ilsey. The last two come in at #41 and #47 with Fifth Harmony’s Worth It and Silento’s Watch Me respectively.

ARIA Albums

Following midweek predictions, Florence + The Machine’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful returns to #1 this week, moving up from #3 –herlongest run at #1 with any album. Taking out the highest debut this week is Adam Lambert’s The Original High, which marks his second album to enter in the ARIA Albums Top 5. The next two debuts come in at #15 and #16 with Savage Garden’s The Singles and Alpine’s Yuck.Ta-Ku’s Song’s To Make Up To sees a debut at #18 followed by Giorgio Moroder’s Déjà, his first studio album in 30 years.
