Brad Cox is a country star on the rise, and now having won the Toyota Star Maker last year, he’s now inked a deal with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Hailing from Jindabyne in NSW, Cox is a two-time Golden Guitar Awards nominee.

SME has signed the singer-songwriter, who has amassed 3.5 million combined global streams, for an exclusive worldwide recording deal.

“We are very excited to welcome Brad Cox to the Sony Music family,” said Denis Handlin AO, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand and President of Asia.

“Brad is one of Australia’s brightest new country music stars and we have significant local and international ambitions for him as we work to break him to a global audience.

“Brad’s songwriting ability and musicianship is world class and we are proud and honoured to be part of his long journey ahead moving forward.”

Cox added; “I’ve worked so hard on my career over many years from the ground up, and for me it’s extremely humbling to know that Sony Music also has the same belief in
my music that I do.

“I’m really excited to be working closely with Denis and the team to take this to the next level locally and internationally.”

Cox is currently working on his second album to be released via SME in 2020.

“Brad is such an authentic country artist, and someone that Australia has been wanting for a long time,” said his manager and director of mirror music group, Kurt Bailey.

“He’s only 24 and has a huge vision for his career and we’re thrilled to partner with Sony Music to take Brad to the world stage where he belongs.”
