BIGSOUND first round speakers announced
The organisers of BIGSOUND have thrown a curve-ball of sorts, by announcing a first round of speakers comprised entirely of live music bookers.
This added exposure will obviously be a boon for the acts showcasing at the festival, and with artist applications closing next Friday, May 9, places are sure to be fiercely contended.
“BIGSOUND is more than just a local music conference,” said programmer Nick O’Byrne. “The enthusiasm and willingness of some of the globe’s most influential live music bookers to travel across the world to see our artists before they even leave our shores speaks volumes about Australia’s reputation as one of the world’s most exciting A&R hubs.”
