64 acts announced for BIGSOUND 2017 – and they’re all playing twice
The massive first artist lineup for BIGSOUND has just dropped, and it’sa doozy.
Organisers shouted outWinston Surfshirt, Hatchie, Alex the Astronaut, Polaris, Mansionair and Ruby Fields as some of the buzziest names on the list, but there’s an overwhelming amount of buzz and potential in the lineup as a whole, from the future-freakout apocalypse jams of Party Dozen (AKA Jono Boulet and Kirsty Tickle) to the understated folk of Daggy Man (AKA The Trouble With Templeton frontman Thomas Calder) and mega-hyped NE Arnhem Land rapper Baker Boy.
The good news is, every act playing twice over the course of BIGSOUND – so while the standard agonising clashes will no doubt be on the cards, the 7000+ industry figures and punters who’ll descend upon Brisbane from September 5-8 will have extra chances to catch some of the most exciting artists in Australian music.
Fans who are skipping the industry conference (which features keynotes from Archie Roach and Tina Arena amongst a wealth of speakers and key industry personalitiesfrom all over the world) can purchasean $85 Rainbow Pass for all four nights of music, or one-night passes for $45 each.
