Aus rock royalty to support children in need

Paul Kelly, Mark Seymour, Deborah Conway, Vika and Linda Bull and Ross Wilson will join Dave Larkin, Davey Lane, Benny Walker and Clare Bowditch to perform at the Mirabel 20th anniversary concert.

They will be supported by members of the legendary RockWiz band Pete Luscombe and Clio Renner with Dan Kelly and Bill McDonald.

The Mirabel Foundations has been working for 20 years to care for children up to 17 years of age who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental drug use.

The foundation has been supported by the music industry since its inception, with 1998 launch featuring an impressive lineup with the likes of Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel, Archie Roach, Augie March, Chris Bailey, Spencer P Jones, Rowland S Howard, Renee Geyer, The Avalanches, Molar, Deborah Conway and Rebecca Barnard.

Two decades later, Mirabel remains the only organisation in Australia to work specifically with this group of children in need, working to restore their sense of self-worth following trauma.

They currently support 1600 children and young people, with eight new referrals each week.

To celebrate their 20th birthday, the fundraiser will be hosted by Brian Nankervis and held where it all began, at The Prince in St Kilda.
