ARIA Chart Predictions: Ready for it? Taylor is going straight to the top

Need wemention who’ll be #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart? Taylor Swift’s Reputation may not be on streaming services just yet, but that hasn’t stopped people flocking to get their hands on the album in digital and physical form.

Following the announcement of a world tour in support of the album, Taylor is breaking records left, right and centre. The album has already shipped justover a million copies in the US at the halfway point of the week, and the numbers are also stacking up in Australia.

P!NK’s multi-platinum record Beautiful Trauma will have a tough time spoiling Swifty’s party as she looks to end P!NK’s four-week run at #1. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran will surely stick around the Top 3 for another week as his latest single ‘Perfect’ does the rounds on commercial radio.

Other notable debuts on the Albums Chart this week include Aussie rapper Kersa with his new album Engraved In The Game tipped to land on the edge of the Top 5. Evanescence’s latest effort Synthesis will be vying for the Top 10 this week after two of their previous three albums made it all the way to #1.

New releases from Australian acts Cold Chisel (The Live Tapes Vol 4: The Last Stand OF The Sydney Entertainment Centre, December 17 & 18, 2015) and PNAU (Changa) are also in line for a Top 10appearance.

The Singles Chart sees new entrant ‘Walk On Water’ by Eminem with the Beyonce-featured track looking at a Top 15 debut. The top of the chart should remain fairly steadfast this week as Camila Cabello and Sam Smith look to challenge for the top spot held by Post Malone’s ‘rockstar’ ft. 21 Savage.
