ARIA Chart Predictions: Carrie Underwood and David Guetta lead Albums Chart debuts

US country star Carrie Underwood could achieve her highest ARIA Albums Chart debut yet with new studio album Cry Pretty. Underwood is pushing for the Top 3, a bracket she narrowly missed out on with previous albums Blown Away (#4) and Storyteller (#4).

A Top 10 debut is looking likely for David Guetta’s new record 7. The Frenchman has never had a #1 album in Australia, but has achieved success on the ARIA Singles Chart with two #1s (Sexy Bitch ft. Akon, Sweat with Snoop Dogg).   

Pop punk/emo veterans Good Charlotte are on track for a Top 15 debut with seventh studio album Generation RX. Previous full-length release Youth Authority went straight to #1, as did 2004 ARIA Platinum record The Chronicles Of Life And Death.

Getting ready to kick off an Aussie tour, Vance Joy will likely move back into the Albums Chart Top 10 this week with former chart-topper Nation Of Two.
