Entries open this week for 2017 ARIA Awards (and they’ve streamlined the system)
Entries for the 2017 ARIA Awards will open on Thursday August 10 at 11am AEST. ARIA has developed a modernised entry system for the 31stinstalment of the Awards to be held on November 28.
This year, more than one person from each registered ARIA member can upload entries on behalf of that member. The users will be linked, and all entries for the member will be visible to each of its’ registered users.
According to ARIA, the nomination process for the Australian music industry’s “night of nights” has been streamlined into four steps using of a new entry website developed last year:
- Enter information for an artist, e.g. artist name, member names, photos. You do this once only for each artist.
- For that artist, enter titles to be nominated, e.g. release title, release date, catalogue number, UPC. You do this once only for each album, single or DVD.
- Select the award categories you wish to enter each title in.
- Finally, depending on the award categories selected, you may then be asked to enter additional information. For example, in the Engineer of the Year category, you will be asked to also supply the Engineer’s name.
ARIA will supply a spreadsheet for entrantslisting awards categories and the relevant data requirements for each, providing a toolto increase clarity.
Entrantscan preview how their entry will appear on the voting website and, if the entry becomes a final nominee, on the public website.
Instructions on how to access the website will be emailed to ARIA members on the morning of August 10. Entries close on Thursday August 24 at 7pm AEST.
