Apple Music to screen Flume and Future Classic documentaries
Later this week Apple Music will screen two full-length documentaries on the Australian EDM scene.
Flume: When Everything Was New about the life of the 2017 Grammy-winning Sydney-based DJ producer and Sleepless: The Story of Future Classic on his relationship with the label which started out throwing warehouse parties.
Both debut exclusively on Apple Music on Friday, April 20.

The two documentaries show how intertwined both were in the global expansion of Australia’s future bass scene.
Flume‘s first EP, released in 2011, was titled Sleepless.
It was followed by a self-titled album in November 2012 and Skin in 2016.
Flume’s collaborators include Kai, Beck, Little Dragon and Vic Mensa, and he has remixed for Lorde, Sam Smith, Arcade Fire and Disclosure.
Future Classic opened an LA office last year and more recently, a studio.
Company co-founder Nathan McLay signed Flume in 2011 as the label’s first management client.
The Australian roster has received 41 ARIA Awards nominations and 20 ARIA Awards wins from Chet Faker/ Nick Murphy, Flight Facilities, visual artist Jonathan Zawada and Flume.
It also has Jagwar Ma, G Flip, SOPHIE, Cashmere Cat and Classixx on its roster.
