Apple Music reveal exclusive Beatles music video ahead of re-release

A new Beatles video has been released on Apple Music, in the run-up to the 50th anniversary re-release of the legendary British band’s The White Album.

The video is for the album track Glass Onion and includes a montage of rare photos animation and performance footage.

It is only available to watch via Apple Music here.

The White Album is out on November 9, featuring 30 tracks remixed by Giles Martin, son of The Beatles’ late record producer Sir George Martin.

The repackaging includes 27 acoustic demos of material the Beatles made at George Harrison‘shouse in Esher before recording sessions began in May 1968 at Abbey Road Studios in London, as well as 50 studio outtakes.

Most of the songs were written when The Beatles journeyed to Rishikesh, India for spiritual and transcendental meditation sessions with the Maharishi between February and April 1968.

Rather than the elaborate multi-track approach on 1967’s Sgt. Pepper, many of The White Album session takes were recorded to four-track and eight-track tape as group performances with a live lead vocal.

Giles Martin says, “In remixing The White Album, we’ve tried to bring you as close as possible to The Beatles in the studio.

“We’ve peeled back the layers of the ‘Glass Onion’ with the hope of immersing old and new listeners into one of the most diverse and inspiring albums ever made.”
