Australian artists recruited for Apple Behind The Mac campaign

A host of Australian musicians have been enlisted by Apple to star in a localised Behind The Mac advertising campaign for the M1 MacBook.

The Made in Australia. Behind The Mac campaign is set to appear across television, online, social and outdoor locations in creative hubs around the country.

Artists to appear in the campaign include Troye Sivan, The Kid LAROI, Tkay Maidza, Jimmy Barnes, Flume, Cub Sport, Sampa The Great,Manu Crooks and G Flip, with the commercial celebrating their creative output alongside an image or clip of them working on a Mac computer.

The commercial is soundtracked by Kwame’s bouncy single ‘WOW’, with the Sydney MC and producer also appearing prominently throughout the campaign.

Kwame will also pair up with Apple to present a music production masterclass on Tuesday August 17. Kwame will demonstrate how to create music using Apple’s GarageBand DAW as well as perform for audiences.

Other creators to appear in the commercial includeCarla Zimbler, Emma Watkins, Joel Edgerton, Miranda Tapsell, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Phoebe Paradise, Tin&Ed, Flex Mami, Benjamin Law and The Mulka Project.
