Andy Grammar Signs With Mushroom Music Publishing

U.S. pop singer and songwriter Andy Grammar expands his relationship with the Mushroom Group family.

Announced Tuesday (March 29) Grammer signs with Mushroom Music Publishing ahead of a new album due out later this year, the follow-up to 2019’s Naïve.

The new pact extends a years-long relationship between Grammer and the Mushroom Group, which has included a 2017 tour of Australasia, produced by Frontier Touring, and a handful of releases through Liberator Music, both Mushroom companies.

“Andy is a gifted songwriter and multi-platinum artist. His songs are meticulously crafted, and his artistry adds enormous joy to the world,” comments Mushroom Music Publishing managing director Linda Bosidis.

“The Mushroom Group work with Andy via our label Liberator Music and Frontier Touring. To complete the trifecta, we’re honoured that Andy has chosen Mushroom Music to call home.”

Grammer isn’t a household name in these parts, though he has quietly established a multi-platinum, international profile.

His singles ‘Honey, I’m Good’ and ‘Keep Your Head Up’ are ARIA platinum-certified; ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ is double platinum; and ‘Fresh Eyes’ is five-time platinum. ‘Honey’ is his strongest performing single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 survey, peaking at No. 9.

Grammer’s career lifted off in 2011, when he was tapped by Billboard Magazine as an “Artist To Watch,” and his self-titled debut set went to No. 1 on the trade title’s Heatseekers Albums.

He reached new audiences with his second album, 2014’s Magazines or Novels, which peaked at No. 19 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

In the years since, Grammer has snagged a Sports Emmy for outstanding music direction, a Clio Award, and BMI Pop Award, and his music featured in Justin Baldoni’s Five Feet Apart, and on ESPN’s 13th Annual V Week for Cancer Reach.

Naïve, Grammer’s fourth studio album, hit No. 29 on the Billboard 200 and its lead single ‘Don’t Give Up on Me’ notched more than 444 million streams, according to Mushroom.

“I’m so happy to be with Mushroom Music,” he enthuses in a statement.  “Mushroom Group have been true partners from the beginning, and I’m stoked to build on everything we’ve done together.”

Grammar’s arrangement with Mushroom Publishing follows the release of the single ‘Joy,’ via Liberator / Giant Soul Records.
