Golden Guitar winner Andrew Swift signs to ABC Music for second album

Rising country music singer-songwriter Andrew Swift has signed with ABC Music.

Swift first began to catch the industry’s attention in 2017 when Toyota Starmaker named him a grand finalist, and he’s continued to build steam.

His first solo shows were in his teens, playing in the corner of an Italian restaurant for free pizza and tips. He then started touring along the East Coast, building up a base.

Swift signed to indie label Social Family Records in 2017 and released his debut alt-country album Call Out For The Cavalry, which hit #1 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart.

While signed with SFR – a launchpad label for country acts like Amber Lawrence, The Buckleys, Fanny Lumsden and Troy Kemp – Swift won two gongs at the 2019 Golden Guitar Awards.

ABC Music will release his next album, with first single ‘Never Meant To Break Your Heart’ out on June 26, a breakup song he co-wrote with Phil Barton and produced by Matt Fell.

“It is great to have Andrew join us at ABC Music,” label boss Natalie Waller said. “We are excited to be part of this talented singer-songwriter’s journey and new release.”

The Melbourne-based artist said he is “extremely excited” to sign with the team at ABC Music.

“I’ve often admired the way that ABC look after their artists as a family and I’m feeling very fortunate to be the newest sibling to some of the biggest names in Australian country music.”
