Amrap Chart Wrap – Players and Stayers in Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight on what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees a fresh face taking the #1 spot on the Regional Chart, while Bad//Dreems take out the Amrap Metro Chart for the second week running.

The Double Shadows(pictured) enter the charts at #1 with the voodoo blues track Hitchhiker’s Rhyme. Tune in to Uncut and Unsigned on 3MDR in VIC this Wednesday to catch them interviewed by the effervescent Tony Bates. The soulful Sydney seven-piece are gaining airplay across the country, at 4ZZZ and Fraser Coast Community Radio in QLD, TYGA FM in TAS, Sunbury Radio in VIC, Noongar Radio in WA, 2BBB in NSW, Gove FM in NT and more.

Bad//Dreems hold on to #1 on the Amrap Metro Chart with the rugged pop tune Cuffed & Collared, having picked up rotation at RTR FM Perth, FBi Radio Sydney and SYN FM Melbourne. Listen to the track via station websites using Amrap Pages including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Triple R Melbourne, RTR FM Perth and Harvey Community Radio in WA.

Mojo Juju is back at #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart this week with They Come and They Go. The talented community radio enthusiast and Amrap Charts mainstay also returns for the fourth consecutive week at #7 in the Metro Chart. Watch the official film clip showcased on Amrap Pages at RTR FM Perth and Harvey Community Radio in WA. Community radio broadcasters and audiences alike are eagerly awaiting the release of her new album Seeing Red / Feeling Blue, out this Friday.

Adelaide’s Tkay Maidza is back in the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with M.O.B. Watch the hip hop pocket rocket perform the track live at the launch of FBi Radio Sydney’s performance space, ‘Local Live at FBi.’

Fiona Boyes debuts at #7 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Juke Joint on Moses Lane. Watch her channel Memphis Minnie in this live video featured on Amrap Pages at Byron Bay FM. Fiona’s guitar swanging blues have racked up an assortment of airplay across NSW regional stations including 2NUR Newcastle, 2AIR Coffs Harbour, Port Stephens FM and Coast FM on the NSW Central Coast.

Love of Diagrams continue their mammoth run, appearing in the Metro Chart for the sixth consecutive week, coming in at #9 with Double Negative. Listen back to their interview on 2Ser Sydney’s The Band Next Door and catch them playing live-to-air this Thursday on Triple R Melbourne’s The Australian Mood. The Melbourne trio boast airplay in every state and major city including Triple R in Melbourne, FBi Radio in Sydney, Edge Radio in Hobart, 4ZZZ in Brisbane, RTR FM, Radio Adelaide, Valley FM in Canberra and 8CCC in Alice Springs.

Mzaza debut at #10 in the Metro Chart with the title track to their new album, Ghosts. The group got personal about their inspiration for the new record on Triple R Melbourne’s Vital Bits last week.
