Amrap Chart Wrap – New #1s on community radio charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provides insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week we see fresh tracks take the #1 spot on both charts and some great music videos getting promotion across station websites.

Sans Parents debuted at #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Loose People. The snappy garage-pop track also took #5 on the Amrap Metro Chart, up four places from last week. The Brisbane band isgetting airplay across regional community radio with extra attention from Victorian stations including 96.5 Inner FM Heidelberg, Upper Goulburn Community Radio 3RPC Portland and 99.9 Voice FM Ballarat. Various Metro stations are also getting behind Loose People including RTR FM Perth, Radio Adelaide and hometown station 4ZZZ Brisbane.

Courtney Barnett’s new single Depreston scored #1 on the Amrap Metro Chart, up four places from last week, and debuted at #4 on the Amrap Regional Chart. Barnett has been a long time favourite on community radio with every previous single scoring a position in the Amrap Charts. Her debut album was featured on a number of stations last week including FBi Radio Sydney, RTR FM, 4ZZZ and hometown station Triple R. The music video for Depreston is gaining traction on station websites using Amrap Pages including here on Triple R, FBi Radio, 4ZZZ, RTR FMEdge Radio Hobart, 3MDR in Victoria, 2BOB in NSW.

Mojo Juju’s They Come and They Godebuted at #2 on the Amrap Regional Chart and #7 on the Metro Chart. The throwback RnB track was added to SYN’s Sweet 16last weekfollowing a great acoustic performance last year onJVG Radio Method at Triple R. The music video for They Come and Go is getting lots of promotion through station websites using Amrap Pages including here on Triple R, 4ZZZ, 2BOB, 979 FM Melton and Australia-wide on Home Brew Radio via the Community Radio Network.

The Meeting Tree’s r u a cop (ft. Adamio Hyde) debuted at #3 on the Amrap Metro Chart. The track was added FBi Radio this week and is on SYN’s Sweet 16.

Skipping Girl Vinegar debuted at #3 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Dance Again. The alt-acoustic four-piece is getting wide-spread regional supporting including here at 3RPC Portland VIC, Valley FM Toogoolawah QLD, Gove FM Nhulunbuy (NT), Tjuma Pulka 96.3 FM Kalgoorlie (WA) and Hot FM Mildura VIC and 2BOB Taree NSW.

Fraser A. Gorman debuted at #6 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Broken Hands. The jangly ballad is getting attention on stations including Triple R, 979 FM in Melton and 3RPC Portland in VIC, 2AIR FM Coffs Coast and 2AAA FM Wagga in NSW and Tjuma Pulka 96.3 FM in Kalgoorlie WA.
