Amrap Brings Community Radio Listening Sessions to BIGSOUND

Amrap is bringing community radio listening sessions to BIGSOUND 2023.

With over 450 stations nationwide and a weekly total audience of almost 6,000,000 listeners, community radio remains hugely important in Australia. From Courtney Barnett to Baker Boy, some of the country’s finest contemporary artists have found their big break through community radio.

At this year’s BIGSOUND, Amrap is hosting community radio listening sessions, featuring Music Directors from some of Australia’s most influential community stations.

Stations taking part this year include Melbourne’s 3RRR, PBS FM and SYN Radio, Brisbane’s 4ZZZHobart’s Edge Radio, and Sydney’s 2SER and FBi.

Attendees will find out how to get their music and voice heard on community radio and gain valuable feedback on what is an essential pathway for a career in Australian music.

If you don’t want to miss your chance to connect with true tastemakers in Australian music, you can book now here. Places are limited, so anyone interested should act quickly.

More information about Amrap can be found here.

BIGSOUND recently unveiled this year’s massive artist showcase lineup. More than 140 artists will head to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley for the Southern Hemisphere’s largest music industry event in September. They’ll perform at 18 venues across three huge nights of live music.

Following on from the announcement of conference speakers, BIGSOUND 2023 has officially confirmed the artists set to showcase their sound at the event.

With over 1300 applicants from across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, organisers somehow managed to whittle the applications down to 141 buzzworthy artists.

1tbsp, MF Tomlinson, Miss June, WHO SHOT SCOTT, Zia Jade, The Grogans, SWIDT, Lola Scott, and Gut Health are just some of the hyped rising talent included in the 2023 lineup.

This year will also feature a stronger spotlight on Australia’s First Nations artists, with Miss Kaninna, J-MILLA, Kobie Dee and many more confirmed to perform in September.
