AAM opens applications to managers for Co-Pilot mentorship program

The Association of Artist Managers (AAM) have opened applications for the 2018/2019 Co-Pilot mentorship program to all financial General AAM members.

Now in its sixth year, the mentorship program (previously ‘AAM Mentorship Program’) partners emerging Aussie managers with established and successful managers for a six to 12-month mentorship.

Previous high-profile mentors taking part in the program have included John Watson from Eleven Music (Birds of Tokyo, Cold Chisel, Silverchair, Gotye), Gregg Donovan from Wonderlick (Boy & Bear, Grinspoon, Airbourne, Josh Pyke), Claire Collins from Bossy Music (Art vs Science, D.D Dumbo, Kagu), Nate Farrell from Calibre (360, ThundamentalsAndrew Stone from Chugg Music (Sheppard, Megan Washington, The Griswolds, Deep Sea Arcade), and more.

As well as support from APRA AMCOS, this year the mentorship program is partnering with Australian Music Week in Sydney for an introduction workshop with a mentor as well as complimentary registration for the  Australian Music Week conference.

Successful applicants will be flown to the conference from anywhere in Australia for an introduction to their mentor, a full day management workshop, and will attent the AMW conference. Three nights’ accommodation is also provided.

All mid-level artist managers who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply – applicants need to be AAM General members, but can join up at the time of applying. All applications will be reviewed by the AAM Board.

Applications open today, Wednesday, 19 September 2018 and close Thursday, 1 October. Successful recipients will be notified by Wednesday, 15 October.
