“A natural born rocker”: Samsaruh signs publishing to Primary Wave

Enigmatic Melbourne songstress Samsaruh has signed a worldwide co-publishing and administration deal to US-based publisher Primary Wave.

Launched in 2006, Primary Wave Music Publishing specializes in partnering with A-listers including Bob Marley, Kurt Cobain, Smokey Robinson and Paul Anka.

It also signed Australian hitmaker M-Phazes.

Samsaruh’s tracks ‘Golden To Thrive’, ‘Beautiful Killer’, ‘Speaking Fire’ and ‘The Beginning’ went on high rotation on triple j.

Her songs entered the Spotify Australia Viral Charts Top 30, earning the #1 played spot on triple j and named the #1 unsigned artist across the station.

On the signing, Primary Wave senior director Jake Livingston said, “Samsaruh is a natural born rocker.

“She endeavours to be one of this generation’s leading ladies of rock.

“Her songwriting will take her on boundless journeys across the world and back. We will be with her every step of the way.”

Samsaruh added, “I feel absolutely ecstatic to be partnering up with Primary wave and taking my ever-growing universe of songs to the places and people they were created for.

“This is only the beginning and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.”

The singer’s latest single ‘Subvert’ was produced and co-written by Oscar Dawson from Holy Holy.

Her debut EP is set to drop mid-year.

Samsaruh has also joined Peking Duk, Dean Lewis and LANKS on their respective tours.
