Good Intent signs 90ivy to management deal & launches Greater Good artist initiative

Sydney music services company Good Intent has announced the signing of 90ivy and launched a new initiative to provide independent artists with financial support.

90ivy (formerly known as The Flowers) will join the Good Intent management roster alongside acts like Bootleg Rascal, Close Counters and Down For Tomorrow.

The new deal comes just days out from the release of the band’s latest single ‘Now or Later’.

While admitting to being apprehensive about signing a management deal at first, the group said that they felt confident about joining the Good Intent roster, making note of the team’s hustle and ambition.

“We really took our time deciding which agency we would be fortunate enough to move forward with,” 90ivy said in a group statement.

“In the end, we were moved by Rob [Carroll] and Nick’s [Moran] passion, integrity and commitment in their pursuit of working with us. These guys are hungry, ambitious and we’re confident they’re going to kick some serious goals.”

News of the band’s signing is accompanied by the launch of the Sydney agency’s Greater Good initiative, a program designed to assist emerging artists by providing them with a cash grant of $2,000 and pro-bono use of Good Intent’s artist services.

Artists will be able to access management consultation, DSP and radio servicing, PR, marketing and label services through the scheme, as well as asset creation via Good Intent’s sister company Good Loco.

Good Intent’s artist and label services manager, Rick Bridgman, explained that the agency felt obliged to give back to Australia’s musical community, describing the Greater Good initiative as a way to “pay forward” its experience to emerging acts.

“I’ve had an idea to do something like this for years, and now at Good Intent / Good Loco, it feels like we’re in a solid place to give back more to our community,” Bridgman said.

“Collectively, the team and I have learned from some of the country’s best people in the music business, worked with a heap of incredible artists and now it’s our time to pay that forward and help bring through the next gen of artists.”
