ABC TV confirms full season of ‘Spicks and Specks’, reveals line up
Australian music quiz show Spicks and Specks returns to the ABC next month.
For the first time since 2014, it will be a full series with 10 episodes airing on Sunday nights from April 18 at 7.40pm, also available on-demand via ABC iview.
Returning regulars include Adam Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough.
Australian music stars The Teskey Brothers, Alice Skye, G-Flip, Vika and Linda, and Missy Higgins will join the panel, along with comedians Anne Edmonds, Nazeem Hussain, Luke McGregor, and Spicks stalwarts Dave O’Neil and Denise Scott.
“Some people made Banana Bread in Lockdown. We made a new series of Spicks and Specks,” Hills said. “Not only did it give us all an excuse to get out of the house, it gave us a chance to showcase a new breed of Australian Musicians and Comedians.
“I’m so proud of the shows we made last year, and I can’t wait.”
Spicks and Specks’ 2000s special last April delivered 691,000 overnight metro viewers.
They were strong figures, especially given the competition from Nine’s Lego Masters, which pulled 1.23 million metros, and Ten’s Master Chef, which attracted 1.01 million metro watchers.
Spicks and Specks will air Sundays at 7.40pm on ABC and ABC iview from April 18.
