TEG appoints Cameron Stone to replace Greg Willis as CTO
TEG has a new chief technology officer, bringing in Cameron Stone to fill the void left by Greg Willis.
Willis took on the role in March 2019, but left in November last year to become head of startup solution architecture at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
His role at TEG will now be taken on by Stone, who has worked in industries including aviation, financial services and health.
Stone joins from Virgin Australia where he was first general manager of technology, strategy and investment, and then chief information officer.
He will now lead the team charged with evolving and executing the global live entertainment, venue and ticketing company’s technology capability and investments.
Stone will report into Ian Ball, TEG’s chief operating officer and global head of venues, who said: “We are thrilled to welcome Cam to lead our technology team and deliver on our investments in digital innovation and automation that will support our global expansion in content, ticketing and venues.”
Chief executive of TEG, Geoff Jones, added: “Cam has built a successful career specialising in large transformation programs and the mobilisation of technology-driven organisations. He is perfectly placed to extend TEG’s technology leadership across our global operations.”
Stone said he is excited to be joining such a progressive and innovative business, and is looking forward to working with the team to build on TEG’s success.
