UK indie label Xtra Mile inks partnership with INresidence in the US
PRESS RELEASE:
London based independent label Xtra Mile Recordings and INgrooves Music Group, one of the world’s largest independent distribution companies, announced their newly formed partnership today. Xtra Mile has chosen INresidence Artist Services to provide distribution & promotion for the label’s releases in the US. The announcement was made today by SVP, INresidence Artist Services, Bryan Mead.
“Xtra Mile has built an incredible artist network over the years,” said Mead. “We are positively thrilled to work with them, and we look forward to developing an inclusive strategy that will target even more success for Xtra Mile and its artists.”
Over the past twelve years Xtra Mile has grown exponentially, covering the genres of rock, punk, folk, indie and hardcore from the UK and North America. The label family includes Frank Turner, Against Me! (ex. North America), Mongol Horde, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, To Kill A King, Skinny Lister, Cheap Girls, Beans On Toast, Sonic Boom Six, Northcote, Jamie Lenman, Billy the Kid, Rob Lynch, Mineral and many many more.
This year, the label will be releasing Frank Turner’s ‘Third Three Years’ – a b-sides, live sessions, demos and rarities compilation; studio albums by everybody’s favourite drunk-folk raconteur, Beans On Toast; hotly tipped London five-piece To Kill A King and infectious punk folk-ers Skinny Lister as well as unveiling a host of new signings. Fans can also expect key catalog releases from the label’s roster, including Million Dead, Dive Dive, Crazy Arm, The Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Reuben, and Future of the Left.
“All of us at Xtra Mile are incredibly excited to be working with Bryan Mead, Chris Trovero and all the team at INgrooves. We’re already feeling the passion and excitement coming from them and can’t wait to get cracking with our 2015 releases” said Charlie Caplowe, Founder & President at Xtra Mile. “INresidence is passionate and thoughtful about what they do, and it’s their level of commitment and creativity that we want partnered on our projects.”
